Well-Being
Groups

This psychoeducational programme has been designed specifically for adults with migration experience. It approaches well-being not simply as happiness or the presence of positive emotions, but as a broader and more existential question of how we relate to ourselves, others, and the lives we are creating. The programme is grounded in the concept of ontological well-being, a contemporary framework informed by the third and fourth waves of positive psychology and enriched by humanistic and existential approaches to counselling. Rather than focusing solely on the question, "How can I feel better?", it invites us to explore deeper questions: "Who do I want to become? How am I living? What gives meaning to my life?"

Each session focuses on a particular theme, including happiness and well-being, self-compassion, nonviolent communication, stress management, mindfulness, meaningful living, and existential fulfilment. Alongside brief psychoeducational input, sessions include structured exercises exploring emotions, needs, and values; breathing and mindfulness practices; role-play activities; and opportunities for reflection and group sharing. The aim is not only to learn new ideas, but to integrate them into everyday life.

The programme is offered separately for participants aged 25–34 and 35–44. Groups meet in person once a week for eight weeks. Each session lasts 150 minutes, and group sizes are intentionally kept small to support meaningful participation. One absence is permitted; however, regular attendance plays an important role in the overall effectiveness of the programme.

Throughout the programme, brief reflective questionnaires provide an opportunity to monitor your own development and learning process. At the end of the programme, individual and group feedback can be shared if desired. Before joining, participants are invited to a short introductory conversation. Further information can be found on the Service Details & Fees and Frequently Asked Questions pages.
