* Standard Service Fees
In the intersection of psychology, art and communities, I believe economic differences are an area of collective responsibility, not a barrier. While the standard fee ensures the sustainability of the services offered at Ara Mekân, sliding-scale fees aim to strengthen our social solidarity network.
Sliding-scale fees apply to psychological counselling services and well-being groups. These categories have been established to ensure that these services reach the widest possible audience. Under this system, participants with standard incomes pay the standard fee, while those on low incomes pay a reduced fee up to the allocated quota. Once this quota is filled, you may be placed on a waiting list.
In addition to the standard service fee for high-income participants, a solidarity/sponsorship option is also available.
In which category do I fall?
-
Low Income/Solidarity:
"My access to economic opportunities is limited due to systemic barriers such as discrimination, migrant status or being a single parent."
"My income is below the subsistence level."
"I am living on social security benefits, unemployment benefits, or limited maintenance payments."
"I am an undergraduate or postgraduate student with no income."
-
Standard:
"I have a regular income/scholarship.’ (Full-time working professionals or scholarship holders with an income)."
"Although I cannot build up significant savings, I can maintain my daily life without restrictions."
"After covering my basic expenses, I have the means to invest in my personal development or interests."
"I have the financial flexibility to maintain my basic standard of living in the face of unexpected expenses."
-
Supportive/Sponsor:
"I am able to save, or I own property."
"I have an above-average income."
"I can pay more than the standard fee to help ensure this service remains accessible and sustainable for those on low incomes."
Sliding-Scale Fees

* An initial consultation is required for psychological counselling services and well-being groups.
** Pre-registration is required for workshops, open meetings and themed events.
